▬ ABOUT THIS VIDEO ▬
Best Mattress For College Student Dorm Room (TOP BEDS 2021). College dorm beds are infamously uncomfortable, and sometimes, a mattress topper just isn’t going to cut it. If you’re looking for the right mattress to take off to college with you, you’re in the right place. Today, JD discusses our top four favorite college/dorm mattresses in detail, and discusses everything from price, construction, and everything in between. Here is a quick rundown of each mattress.
Tuft and Needle: A simple all-foam mattress constructed out of two layers to provide a comfortable, plain Jane feel. If you’re somebody who isn’t interested in paying for the additional bells and whistle’s and prefer a neutral-foam feel, this mattress may be for you. We think it’s suitable for all sleeper types under 230-240 lbs.
Cocoon Chill: An all-foam mattress made with memory foam and it has a traditional “sink in” feel that memory foam is known for. It’s available in multiple firmness levels, and is ideal for most sleepers under 240 lbs, unless you’re a petite side sleeper who needs a little extra pressure relief. It also comes with a cooling cover that’s actually cool-to-the-touch.
Brooklyn Bedding Signature: A quality hybrid mattress for under $1,000 and it’s available in three different firmness levels. That means regardless of your sleeper type, you’ll likely be able to find one that suits you. This mattress has a soft, neutral-foam feel but with an extra bounce factor to it due to its coil/foam construction. It’s also suitable for all body types.
Allswell: Allswell is an extremely affordable hybrid mattress from Walmart that features a standard, neutral-foam feel with a hint of memory foam. Though, the memory foam feel is hardly noticeable. We think it’s hard to beat the price on this mattress if you’re on a tight budget. On a scale from soft to firm we rated it around a medium, but slightly more towards the firm side.
