Amerisleep vs Helix (MATTRESS REVIEW). For those of you debating between bed-in-a-box mattresses Amerisleep and Helix, we’re here to break down their major differences so it’s easier for you to make an educated purchase decision. In this video, JD will dive into the details behind Amerisleep, Helix, and their stand-out features that set them apart from each other. Below, you can find a short summary on both mattresses.

Amerisleep offers five different mattresses; AS1-AS5. The higher the number gets, the softer the mattress is. AS1 is their firmest and most affordable mattress, and we’d mainly recommend it to back and stomach sleepers. AS5 is their softest bed, and best for side sleepers who want something extra plush. Regardless of the bed you choose, though, you’ll have a viscous memory foam feel and a Celliant-infused cover.

Helix also offers multiple mattresses, in fact they have 6 core models and several specialty models. Their six core models range in firmness and support — however each one will have a hybrid design. Therefore, unlike the original Amerisleep models, Helix beds are better fit for heavier individuals over around 230 lbs. For those of you who are intimidated by having to choose between six Helix beds, the brand actually has a Sleep Quiz, and will match you with your ideal mattress based on your answers.
